Welcome to the XVI meeting of the Chilean Astronomical Society (ONLINE)

Last update: December 1, 2020

The SOCHIAS annual meeting is the largest national astronomy and astrophysics science meeting in Chile. It started in 2002 in Santiago. Since this event, the meeting has migrated for different cities of Chile and it has also been done in conjunction with the Argentine Association of Astronomy (AAA) twice.

It is a unique opportunity to present the latest astronomical and space research to a broad but regionally-focused audience, as well as make new connections and foster new collaborations in Chile.
