Please note that most messages from the organizers are sent from the address firstname.lastname@example.org Although for many people the messages to/from this address have been received without issues, in some cases the emails have been misidentified as spam by some email software. We strongly advise you to set up a filter so that the messages sent from this email address are never sent to your spam folder.
In the case of the server at Universidad de Concepción the problem seems to be a bit more complex because it’s their local server who is filtering out the messages and it may take a long interaction to reach the right IT contact to fix this. We advise the colleagues and students at Universidad de Concepción to contact us providing some alternative email address we can use if you have not done that already. We are not aware of any other case like this but it may be worth asking around other colleagues and students whether they are correctly receiving our messages. To test this, please check that you received the following messages in the dates listed below:
- 2016-01-15: SOCHIAS meeting updates: Trip to Paranal.
- 2016-01-19: SOCHIAS meeting updates: Accommodation.
- 2016-01-22: SOCHIAS meeting updates: Check your name!
- 2016-01-26: SOCHIAS meeting updates: Late registrations; updated benefits for students.
